Community Awareness Seminars - REVISED

The Fayette County School System is providing Community Awareness Seminars in an effort to be proactive in our community. We believe these seminars will assist our students and parents in becoming better informed of possible controversial issues. Please consider attending the Community Awareness Seminar at your student’s high school. If you have a middle school student, we invite you to attend the feeder high school seminar.

Agenda:

· Welcome – High School Principal
· Introduction – Scott Ballard, Fayette County District Attorney
· Gang Awareness – Fayetteville Police Department
· Internet Safety – Fayette County Schools Technology Department
· Interaction with Law Enforcement – Fayette County Sheriff’s Department
· Question & Answer Session – Moderated by Principal

Fayette County High School Monday, February 25

McIntosh High School Tuesday, February 26

Sandy Creek High School Thursday, February 28

Whitewater High School Monday, March 3

Starr’s Mill High School Monday, March 10

Location of the seminars: High School Auditoriums

Time of the seminars: 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
