PTC Police and FBI Make Arrests

On January 19th, 2011 Peachtree City Investigators, working in conjunction with agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Atlanta Field Office, arrested DAVIS, RUSSELL, 22, of Kentwood Drive, Peachtree City, GA, on one count of THEFT BY DECEPTION and one count of FORGERY, which involved multiple victims. The charges were the result of an ongoing theft investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Peachtree City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division. KIMPEL, JASON 22, of Balmoral Apartments, Peachtree City, GA was also arrested and charged with one count of THEFT BY DECEPTION and one count of PARTY TO A CRIME (FORGERY), which involved the same multiple victims. Through the course of the investigation, investigators learned that DAVIS had allegedly reprinted a legally purchased block of tickets to a concert and sold multiple copies of the fraudulently printed tickets to the victims. The victims who have been identified live throughout the southeastern United States. This investigation is still on going and there is the potential for more offenders to be identified.
