We've all been waiting for the expected winter weather event to arrive in Fayette County. Many of us have been preparing all day for sleet, ice and snow.
The exact moment the sleet hit Fayette County was audible as front doors flew open, kids ran outside, and gleeful sounds of joy were heard all over Peachtree City. The sound of the sleet was overpowered by the school children a few minutes later as Fayette County announced the closing of the schools for Monday.
Stay safe, dry and warm!
